A spa day for two is one of the easiest gifts to give and one of the easiest to get slightly wrong. Too much booked back to back and it feels like a schedule. Too little and it is over before you have unwound. Here is how we help couples, friends and family pairs plan a day that feels generous without feeling rushed.
Pick the time of day first
Mornings are quiet and bright, and leave the afternoon free for the beach. Late afternoons are our favorite: arrive around three, spend time in the thermal suite, then walk into the garden suite as the light turns gold. Friday and Saturday evenings include our sunset ritual, which ends with the garden lit by lanterns.
Whatever you choose, allow at least three hours for the full experience. Nobody has ever told us they wished they had left sooner.
Build the day around one ritual
Our couples ritual is the anchor: a warm foot soak and welcome drink, a side-by-side massage in the garden suite, a drawn soaking bath for two, then fruit and something sparkling. Each of you can choose your own pressure and style, so one person can have a gentle Swedish massage while the other has deep tissue.
If you have time, add a thermal session beforehand. Two rounds of steam, sauna and rest before the massage make it noticeably deeper.

What to bring
Almost nothing. We provide robes, slippers, towels and toiletries. Bring swimsuits if you plan to use the thermal suite, and leave phones in the locker. The garden suite is a phone-free room, and it is remarkable how much that changes the feeling of the afternoon.
Stay in the moment afterwards
Plan something slow for afterwards. A walk on the beach at the end of the street is a lovely way to stretch out the calm, and Fifth Avenue South and Third Street are a short drive away for dinner. Avoid booking anything that needs you to hurry.
